Easton Village Boasts Plenty of Parks and Places to See

As of 2016 Easton Village becomes reality. A new Master Planned community in Lake Elmo that will feature 217 homes once completed and included Michael Lee homes. The first phase is now open with an entrance along Manning Road across from the Lake Elmo Airport. Easton Village has Sidewalks, Trails, Parks, Ponds, and even a Tot Park for the entire family to enjoy the outdoors. Towards the west end of 32nd Street there is even a trail that leads back to Reid Park. Reid Park is perfect destination for anyone that loves the outdoors, with trails for skiing, biking, walking and running. Reid Park covers some 30 acres and is one of the largest community parks, and also offers picnic tables, baseball fields, and plenty of playground equipment.

Down Manning and west on 10th Street you will discover a gold mine, the Lake Elmo Park Reserve. The Lake Elmo Park Reserve is nearly 2,200 acres (3.5 square miles) along with at least 80 percent of the park land set aside for preservation. The protected land is set aside to look like it would have back in the mid-1800s when settled come to Lake Elmo. The park has gentle rolling hills with a variety of trees, forest and prairie grasses. Animals that you might see included Pheasants, rex fox, weasels, woodpeckers, cottontail rabbits, squirrels, and even some deer.

If you are a golf enthusiast then you will be excited about the Royal Golf Course being built at the site of Tartan Park Golf Course. The new course will feature 18 redesigned holes along the same original course that has been in the 3M family for over 50 years. Planned to open June 2017 and will or course be open to the public. A redesigned clubhouse will feature a restaurant and bar for your pleasure after a tough day on the course.

Best of all we are minutes from the beautiful old city of Stillwater for an afternoon stroll or an evening dinner date. It is said that Minnesota’s birthplace was in Stillwater back in the mid 1800’s. Stillwater is a popular day trip for tourists from the Twin Cities, who enjoy the historic downtown’s used bookstores, antique shops, restaurants, bed and breakfasts, historical sites and the scenic St. Croix River valley.
